PROFILE: Jeff, 67
How long have you been involved in Scout Fellowships? I have been with Scout Fellowship for eleven years. I joined the Hume Region Scout Fellowship when it was formed in 1997. At that time it was as an addition to my appointment with the Scout Memorabilia Centre.
From 1999 I accepted the role of Chairperson of the Branch Scout Fellowship Council and then for the last four years as the State Commissioner Scout Fellowships.
What prompted you to join Scout Fellowships? It was an opportunity to be part of a group of people who were willing to support Scouting in the Region and also to be part of a friendly group.
What do you think are the key benefits of being in the Scout Fellowship? Being able to contribute worthwhile support to scouting activities and functions across all sections, from local through to international level. The social side of Fellowship is also very enjoyable.
Recount one of your favorite Scout Fellowship experiences. Being part of the Scout Fellowship team supporting the Australian Venture at Cataract in 2006. There were over forty Scout Fellowship members performing a variety of roles which included activities, administration, transport and other service jobs.
