The $100 Active Kids voucher goes towards covering Scouts NSW membership fees. It does not cover individual items such as uniforms, activity costs and travel costs, or your Group fees.
Parents can redeem their Active Kids voucher and claim it with Scouts any time throughout the year.
For example, if a voucher is claimed with Scouts in November, it can be used to cover $100 worth of membership fees up until November of the following year.
No. The voucher cannot be split between multiple clubs or registrations.
When an Active Kids voucher is claimed by an existing Scouts NSW member, the voucher number is included in their membership record. The member’s Active Kids rebate credit will appear on their Scout Group’s quarterly invoice from Scouts NSW.
When an Active Kids voucher is claimed by a Scout member, the voucher number is included in their membership record. If the Scout member decides to transfer to another Group, the claimed Active Kids voucher will stay with the member’s membership record, and any remaining Active Kids rebate credit will appear on the transferred Scout Group’s invoice.

If you have identified an error in your Active Kids voucher claim, please DO NOT resubmit a new application. Please reply to the submission email sent to your inbox, noting the correction required. Our Members Services Team will then amend your original submission with these details, and prepare it for processing.
Processing Your Voucher
Our Members Services Team processes Active Kids voucher claims on “first come, first serve” basis. If your child’s name has not been listed, this may be because:
- The claim is still being processed, or
- There is an error in the details you have provided in your submission.
In both cases, please DO NOT resubmit a new claim. Our Members Services Team aims to process all submissions promptly, and will be in contact with you directly via phone or email if there are any issues with your submission. If you would like to speak to the Members Services team, please call 9735 9000.
The Active Kids voucher goes towards covering your Scouts NSW membership fees, which equal $41 per quarter. Any additional amounts on your invoice will reflect your Group fees. Please speak to your Group Leader if you have any questions regarding your invoice.

Each Active Kids voucher is validated by our Members Services team through the Service NSW online platform.
New Youth Members who join Scouts NSW from 31 January 2018 to 31 December 2018 will have 100% of their Active Kids voucher applied to their first invoice.
Below is a detailed breakdown of billing for new members.
The youth member’s parents can claim their voucher with Service NSW now, but Scouts NSW cannot validate it until the member is on the ScoutLink database.
We suggest that you encourage the parents to claim the voucher with Scouts NSW as soon as possible. The parents can attach their voucher from Service NSW to the Y1 form, and the Region Office can fill in the online form for them, or the parents can wait until they have a membership number to fill in the online form.
New Members must have a member record in ScoutLink before an Active Kids Rebate Voucher can be validated and applied to their account. Vouchers that are received will not be processed until the Y1 form is received at the Region Office and the new member record is created on ScoutLink.
If a child joins Scouts this term and their voucher is validated before the next invoice on 1 April 2018, the voucher will be deducted from any Scouts NSW membership fees.
That is not the case. Scouts NSW will apply the monies to the membership fees that follow the redemption of the Active Kids voucher. If a youth member redeems their voucher towards the end of the year and then again early in the next year, the voucher will be applied to the subsequent registration fees.

The weekly report of Active Kids Voucher Redemptions sent to Groups each Friday capture the names of youth members who have successfully claimed their Active Kids vouchers, as at close of business Wednesday of that week. Any vouchers claimed after will be listed in the following week’s report.
Submissions that have come back with errors on redemption are not included in the list, as they require further action by the Members Services team. These errors include:
- First Name or Surname entered is not consistent with the First Name or Surname listed on ScoutLink,
- The wrong Date of Birth entered in the form,
- Incorrect Scouts NSW membership number, and/or
- Incorrect Active Kids voucher number.
In the case of an error on redemption, a member of the Members Services Department will contact the youth member’s parent or carer directly via phone or email to obtain the correct details and process the claim.
