CLOSED: 4WD Level 1 Course for Beginners (Belanglo State Forest)

The 4WD Level 1 Course for beginners is a Basic course teaching drivers how to negotiate difficult 4wd tracks and perform recoveries. A 4WD vehicle (NOT AWD) is required. No 4wd experience is required – this course will teach you what you need to know and Participants will be trained and assessed for qualification at Level 1 4wd. VET units, however these are currently being verified due to recent changes in the Outdoor Recreation training package. Any workbooks will need to be completed at home and digitally submitted (scan/email). This course will run from 8am to 4pm and meeting location will be given closer to the course.
- You must bring your own registered 4WD vehicle with low range and good clearance (one car required per person). Modifications are not needed. Please identify your vehicle type when you apply.
- You must be licensed to drive the vehicle (P-plates and above, no L-plates on this course).
- UHF CB radio – installed or hand-held
- Own Tyre pressure gauge
Nice to have (bring these if you have them, no need to buy yet if you don’t) –
- Air Compressor
- Recovery gear
