Member Rebate Scheme

The Scouts NSW Member Rebate Scheme was introduced in the 2018 Scout year, with a total of $138,000 in member rebates issued to 217 Scout Groups across New South Wales. This reflected a combined effort across the State to deliver Scouting to our communities, and saw the organisation achieve our first increase in membership in seven years.

Following the success of its first year, the Board of Directors extended the Member Rebate Scheme to a second year from 1 January 2019 to 1 January 2020.

In early January, Scouts NSW will run a report of Groups’ youth and adult membership as at 1 January 2020. All Groups that have achieved a net growth in membership in the year from 1 January 2019 to 1 January 2020 will receive an $80 rebate per net member gained.

Any Groups in arrears will have their rebates applied to monies owed in the first instance, before receiving the remaining rebate balance.
