In 2020, Scouts NSW had 49 projects approved through the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership Grants. $826,000 of funding supported capital works programs for Groups, Districts and Regions for much needed repairs to Scout properties. We are all grateful for this funding.
On Monday 19 April 2021, the NSW Government opened a new round (Round 13) of funding. Applications close Friday 14 May 2021. All Groups and Formations are encouraged to consider this grant opportunity.
Examples of what you can apply for include kitchen renovations, disability access, bathroom repairs, roof replacement, boat or trailer purchases and many more. To view the full list of successful projects for the 2020 Community Building Partnership Grants, please click here.
Process for Scout Groups to apply:
This is a great opportunity for Scout Groups, Campsites and Activity Centres to apply for much needed funding that will not only make a direct impact on Scouting but also support local jobs. Please take the time to review the information included here before you submit an application for your Scout Group.
As a first priority, consider completing safety works to your hall to comply with the safety audits.
To help you with your application, Scouts NSW has created:
- Information on how to register your project
- A sample application for the Community Building Partnership Grant
