Seeking some training and adventure? You could be abseiling down into a canyon, kayaking in our beautiful coastal waters or hiking in our breath-taking National Parks in no time.
Adventurous Activities programs are available to all members of Scouts NSW. Training is available for leaders wanting to support youth members on their adventures. Opportunities to try new activities, explore new areas and further develop skills are available for youth members. The skills and experience you gain along the way can be used towards Nationally Recognised Units of Competency and Qualifications.
Programs are delivered by both Region and State Activity Teams and Activity Leaders are available to support youth members working on Outdoor Adventure Skills, Special Interest Area project, adventurous journeys or outdoor challenge area activities. Some of the activities available include:
- Bushwalking (in different terrains)
- Canoeing and Kayaking (in different environments)
- Rope related activities (e.g. Rock climbing and Abseiling – at various degrees of difficulty)
- Caving and Canyoning
- Scuba Diving & Snorkeling
