Scouts NSW celebrates 100 years of the Wood Badge

2019 is an exciting year for Scouts NSW as we celebrate 100 years of the implementation of the Wood Badge, the framework for training our Leaders.

To mark this special milestone, all Wood Badge certificates issued this year will include a special Centenary foil! A Gilwell reunion will also be held in August and live streamed across Australia and internationally.
Leaders are encouraged to complete their Wood Badge training this year. Submit an Expression of Interest for your Advanced Sectional Training and complete your eLearning to receive the special edition Centenary Wood Badge certificate.

Young leader earns 1st Wood Badge for Centenary Year

Congratulations to Erin Walker from Nepean Rover Crew for achieving the first Wood Badge in NSW for the Centenary Year! Erin presented her Rover Wood Badge project and finalisation paper work in January, and attended the recent Jamboree as a member of the Sub-Camp A team, leading the administration team. Erin’s achievement is a fine example of our young leaders taking the lead! BRAVO!
