State Commissioner (Inclusion)

The State Commissioner (Inclusion) is the volunteer member responsible to the Assistant Chief Commissioner (ACC) Innovation and Culture (I&C) for leading the growth of diversity and inclusion of Scouting in NSW and evangelising the benefits of inclusion to members and supporters.

Key responsibilities include:
– Being the voice of inclusive Scouting in the external marketplace of supporters and stakeholders
– Increasing diversity by actively demonstrating the benefits of diversity to the health of Scouting and promoting Scouts as a welcoming activity for young people and adults from different backgrounds lifestyles, cultures, capabilities and situations
– Ensuring proactive working relationships within and external to Scouts to maximise inclusiveness within the Movement

The 2021 State structure was recently announced. More information is available to answer questions asked during the feedback period.

This position is open to any member or supporter who has an associated area of expertise or interest and who believes they can make a positive difference to Scouting in NSW.
