State Commissioner (Program Support – Rovers)

The State Commissioner (Program Support – Rovers) is a member of the One Program team within the Youth Program and Support portfolio and has a specific focus on supporting the Rover Section.

The State Commissioner (Program Support – Rovers) will be the functional lead for all Rover  Section Leaders, also providing One Program guidance for Rovers.

The State Commissioner (Program Support – Rovers) reports to the State Commissioner (One Program). In NSW, this position is also the Chair of the State (or Branch) Rover Council.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the support of the one Youth Program across the Rover Section
  • Providing age-specific support to the Regions, Groups and Units
  • Promoting Peak Award achievement
  • Promoting Major Event activities such as annual events, Commissioner Challenges, State Rally, Moot, etc

This position is open to any member or supporter who has an associated area of expertise or interest and who believes they can make a positive difference to Scouting in NSW.
