State Leader (Bushwalking, Bushcraft & Camping)

The State Leader (Bushwalking, Bushcraft and Camping) is a member of the Educational Support team within the Youth Program and Support portfolio, responsible for supporting the work of the Bushwalking, Bushcraft & Camping Leads.

The SL Bushwalking, Bushcraft & Camping will comply with, and ensure the implementation of all applicable legislative and statutory regulations pertaining to delivery of Adventurous Activities including Bushwalking, Bushcraft & Camping within the Youth Program.

Key responsibilities include:

– Leading and promoting Bushwalking, Bushcraft & Camping as an Adventurous Activity within the Youth Program across the State
– Ensuring Scouts NSW has relevant and current Policies and Rules in place to meet required Codes
– Supporting Region Adventurous Activity Teams to ensure they are supporting youth of all sections to participate in Adventurous Activities (including through provision of section Activity Resources), specifically in relation to Bushwalking, Bushcraft & Camping.
– Promoting innovation and new ideas in Activities and Activity Teams.

This position is open to any member or supporter who has an associated area of expertise or interest and who believes they can make a positive difference to Scouting in NSW.
