State Leader (Environment)

The State Leader (Environment) is a member of the Educational Support team within the Youth Program and Support portfolio, responsible for promoting the environment to members of the Scouting community.

The State Leader (Environment) will support the work of the Regional Environment Leads and will interact regularly with the Scouts Australia National team focused on the environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the support of the Environment Program areas of the Youth Program across the State, providing age-specific Environment support and resources to the Regions, Groups and Units
  • Facilitating workshops to adults and youth members on the areas of Environment and Sustainability
  • Build a community of champions (adult and youth) to promote and support Environmental activities
  • Identify non-members or organisations who can contribute to providing resources, support or training for Environmental and Sustainable activities within Scouting.

The 2021 State structure was recently announced. More information is available to answer questions asked during the feedback period.

This position is open to any member or supporter who has an associated area of expertise or interest and who believes they can make a positive difference to Scouting in NSW.
