Assistant Chief Commissioners

Do you have a desire to try something different in Scouting? Are you ready for your next challenge? Can you lead a team whose focus is to support the frontline of Scouting across the State as well as contribute to and support membership growth and to deliver of our Youth Program?

Scouts NSW is seeking five Assistant Chief Commissioners to help lead a refreshed and reinvigorated team. Working with our two Deputy Chief Commissioners, these five ACCs will be enthusiastic, energetic and committed volunteers who will lead teams focused on:

  • Youth Program and Youth Development
  • Youth Empowerment
  • Youth and adult safety, support, issues management, adult training and development, adventurous activities, inclusion
  • Strategy and innovation, stakeholder engagement, partnerships, risk management, fellowships, activity bases
  • Region support and development programs, growth and retention.

These new ACC positions follow a restructure of the current arrangements; they are not additional to the current structure. The ACC  roles are unable to be held as a dual appointment. Successful candidates will be required to transfer from any other position they may hold. Applicants from outside of the major metropolitan areas are encouraged to consider applying.

Applications for these positions close at 7 pm on Sunday 8 November. Interviews will be held between 9-15 November. For COVID-safety and to ensure candidates from across the State are not disadvantaged, interviews can be conducted using an online/remote meeting (e.g. Teams or Zoom).
