Update Regarding Overnight Accommodation Including Camping and Bunkrooms

The Scouts NSW COVID-19 task force met recently to review and discuss the NSW Government’s guidelines and recommendations for overnight accommodation including camping and bunkrooms.

Following the unchanged NSW Government’s advice, Scouts NSW strongly recommends a 1.5 meter spacing between people where feasible.  This includes in sleeping accommodations such as tents and bunkrooms.

The advice to Leaders and Supporters at the moment is to follow the NSW Governments rules and guidelines.  The Scouts Guide to the Coronavirus webpage is being simplified with appropriate links to the NSW Health’s What You Can Do and Cannot Do in NSW which covers many of the common requests with greater detail and is updated regularly.

Please remember that restrictions may change without notice depending on case locations so check the NSW Health website.  You may be required to respond quickly should circumstances change.
