Volunteers awarded almost $250,000 in Government grants

Scouts NSW would like to congratulate the 66 volunteers from across the State who were awarded Government grants this month.
Almost $250,000 was handed out in total, making a major difference to dedicated volunteers who continue to go above and beyond for their respective Scout Groups.
Volunteer Grants aim to support the efforts of the nation’s volunteers and make it easier for people to dedicate their time to the organisations close to their hearts. The grants provide between $1,000-$5,000 that organisations and community groups can use to help their volunteers.
The scheme forms part of the Government’s work to support the volunteers who help disadvantaged Australian communities and encourage inclusion of vulnerable people in community life.
Without selfless volunteers, there would be no Scouts, and we congratulate all of the successful applicants on their thoroughly deserved grants.
